ABOUT
Owing to their similar transmission patterns, viral hepatitis and HIV coinfection is can occur in some populations. Compared with viral hepatitis mono-infection, coinfection complicates the natural disease courses. Mieken Grant and Kirsty Owen will present on this topic. Mieken Grant is the Victorian Viral Hepatitis Nurse Educator at St Vincents Hospital, and was previously the HIV Clinical Nurse Consultant. Kirsty Owen is the HIV and The Green Room Clinical Coordinator at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre and has accumulated a wealth of clinical experience in HIV over the years.
