PrEP and HIV Essentials for Primary Care

Hosted by the Victorian HIV and Hepatitis Integrated Training and Learning program, this free facilitated online training course enable practitioners to gain the knowledge to manage patients on PrEP.

Pre Exposure Prophyslaxis (PrEP) is an effective HIV prevention strategy in high demand within the community. 

On the 1st April 2018, PrEP was listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). GPs are now be able to prescribe PrEP, and community pharmacies are able to dispense it. 

This session will guide you on how to initiate PrEP with ease, and which populations it is suitable for.

Whilst the clinical content has been developed for GPs, all primary care health practitioners are encouraged and welcome to attend.
