Course overview
This course provides up-to-date, evidence-based information on a broad range of reproductive and sexual health topics. It explores the physiological, social and environmental aspects of reproductive and sexual health using current research findings, clinical guidelines, and the knowledge and experience of experts in the field.

Sexual history taking
Discussions covering reproduction, sex and diversity
Vulval and vaginal health
Penis, prostate and testicular health
Menopause
Pregnancy choices
Contraception
Sexually transmissible infections
Young people, sex and the law
This 4 day course is offered through either eLearning or face to face delivery. The face to face course will be held on site at SHV. For the eLearning delivery you will join us, using your own device, for a mixture of online modules and interactive classroom sessions. The course will also consist of online learning before and after the set course dates.

Entry requirements / Eligibility
For the eLearning course, access to an electronic device such as a computer or tablet and access to the internet.
Registered nurses (Division 1) registered midwives (Division 1) enrolled nurses (Division 2) and registered aboriginal health practitioners are eligible to complete the course.
Evidence of current national registration through Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) will be required as part of registration.
Previous experience in reproductive and sexual health is an advantage but not a requirement.
